WordPress && !(Drupal)

    FWIW, I searched and am aware of <A HREF=”http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/7/16335″>Drupal vs. WordPress</A>. My query is different.
    I realize that Drupal and WP have different purposes, and I know Drupal has a list of features and capabilities that WP does not, in aid of its purposes external to a weblog.
    I am curious if WP, in focusing on its core competency (providing a weblog), has any features or abilities relevant to that role that Drupal does not. Is Drupal simply a superset that is perhaps (and perhaps not) unwieldily to use to create a simple weblog, or does WP have additional value beyond its focus?

    Drupal = CMS
    WordPress = Blog
    CMS = Content Management System, typically a news site with more than one author posting news on a daily basis. Ex: http://www.macmerc.com/
    Blog = Web-log, typically one person highlighting interesting things or complaining about his or her unfair existence. Ex: http://www.macmanx.com/wordpress/index.php

    Right, see, I know that.
    My question is this:
    What features, directed at the goal of having a focused and effective blog management software, does WP have that Drupal does not.
    I _understand_ that Drupal has a different goal. I am not trying to denigrate WP. I simply am looking for a list of features and comparative strengths. I don’t need another “if you want a blog, many of Drupal’s features are pointless over-engineering”. I am aware of that perspective.
    A BMW has a different focus than a Municipal Garbage truck. The MGT has a whole slew of features the BMW does not, but the BMW can claim to provide a core competency (that the MGT can accomplish) _better_ than the MGT. If asked, a laundry list of comparative advantages could be generated as to what the BMW has that the MGT does not.
    Please, I’m not an idiot, my question does address an issue that is not self-evident.

    Drupal’s long-term goal is to be an open-source CMS.
    WordPress’s long-term goal is to be an open-source Blog.
    The answer: “if you want a blog, many of Drupal’s features are pointless over-engineering”
    There is no other answer, that is it.
