WordPress 2.51 What’s Changed?
-
It would help someone actually told us what was new or different about 2.51. I’m really sick of all of these updates.
-
Im guessing we are really sick of people that cant read, but have no trouble typing.

read the first post, and try clicking a few links.

Your frustration might be warranted, but you really need to try a little harder to get info for yourself.
in fairness, i’ve been going round in circles trying to find what’s new in 2.5.1 – a link from either the download page or the actual changelog would make sense. http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/WordPress_Versions
The only problems I’ve had with WordPress is finding info on this website. It’s normally there somewhere, but very difficult to find, even by searching different terms could I not find
http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Version_2.5.1or perhaps when the dashboard say there is a new version – also a link to what’s new.
and the page http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Version_2.5.1 certainly doesn’t explain what’s been changed and why. A list of files isn’t that helpful if performing an upgrade you have to do it to 10+ blogs… so you need to weight up the worth of doing it now or a some later upgrade… only a thought to hopefully make info more accessible to all.
sorry for this post and my tone. but I am annoyed with all of these updates and usually the devs are pretty good about explaining what’s in a release, but his time there’s nothing there, unless you know where to find it.
and none of the links provided tells us what’s fixed or why we should upgrade.

With all due respect, are you on crack?
What part of this doesnt tell you whats been fixed? Or better yet, why you should upgrade?
It includes a number of bug fixes, performance enhancements, and one very important security fix. We recommend everyone update immediately, particularly if your blog has open registration. The vulnerability is not public but it will be shortly.
In addition to the security fix, 2.5.1 contains many bug fixes. If you are interested only in the security fixes, you can download these corrected copies of wp-includes/pluggable.php, wp-admin/includes/media.php, and wp-admin/media.php. Replace your existing copies of these files with these new copies.
If you download the entire 2.5.1 release, you will be getting over 70 other fixes. <– note that link.
whooami – you’ve just proved malexandria’s point – that quote isn’t even on the page http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Version_2.5.1
I don’t think personal attacks are warranted.
I didnt link to that page — I linked to what I quoted from.
Are YOU on crack too?

Instead of whining, yes whining, that you arent being hand fed information, why not LOOK? Its honestly not that incredibly difficult. I so wonder how some people get through their days without someone there to hold their hands. And Im sorry if you find that offensive, but there isnt enough time in the day for hand holding here.
The point is the information isn’t in the obvious place.
That seems to cover it.
Will close this.
