NB: note that beta 2 is out already so best test in that, not beta 1.

    Hi Ross,

Thanks for the heads up–we’ll check that immediately.

Okay! Well.. This might be part of my problem.

I had dl’d the latest version of classifieds. Unzipped and attempted to upload and install by my locally hosted (Apache server),WordPress site. Well, that didn’t work. I tried FTP, that didn’t work either. I cannot list every way I tried to upload the file, I’ve since forgotten most of them. The end result being an error, each and every time.

I found a YouTube video. Followed along. Though not already installed, I thought I’d try installing the plugin suggested. Nav (something) and breadcrumb (something). Forgive me I’ve been at this for DAYS. :/

In any event it was the closest I came to actually having it install, from the zip. BUT. As luck would have it, a message popped up indicating I was low on php.in..something, memory. I searched everywhere for a fix. All I found were links going deeper and deeper into the crises.

    Omgosh!

I really, really want to use this. But for pity sake? What am I to do?

Please, I’m very new to WordPress. I’m not a coder/writer, know VERY little about html. Altering script, would require child-like-step-by-step or I’ll be lost.

There has to be a way to get this working. If I like it that much over time I would most definitely buy the premium version. I’ve worked weeks like many of you… Tried various web builders, widgets and plugins only to ultimately become desperately frustrated. Not at all what I was looking for. Or. I found there were limitations.

WordPress, has bee a utter delight. I’ve played with the default theme and even with that I am very, very happy. But a classifieds ad site is what I’ve been working towards. Reviewed many themes. None, I liked, except this one.

OH! Which reminds me. Since I downloaded the newest version, is that actually the..premium version? If it is, well… Small wonder it wont install. I didn’t pay for it, hahaha. >.<

Free for now. Juuust to get me going. Let me feel my way around and get off the ground and onto the webz. After that.. I can play a whole lot more and yes! Buy.

Thank you so much for, reading my ramblings. I’m exhausted and will likely be.. the very best of editors once I click,”Post.” 🙂

If you have any suggestions and “child-like” instructions for me. I will most definitely, try!

Apologies. I got so excited I might be onto something. I posted in a topic that’s been, resolved. If I could I move it or delete it I would and re post.

I’ve just now notice the AWPCP link. Is this not the same thing as, classyifieds? One more confusion to sort out. :/

I’ll wait for the topic to turn up somewhere else. Hopefully I’m notified.

    Hi Sandymazer,

No, AWPCP and Classyfrieds are two very different plugins. You should contact the support forum for Classyfrieds for help with their plugin. We can’t support them.

Hahaha. I see that now! And. There is Classifieds and Classyfields. Geewhiz. To be perfectly honest, I dl’d both. (Made my inquiry regarding yours.)

When I came to post, I used the wrong ‘name’. The linking system is kinda wonky, TBH. I saw your theme name. >>Thought it was posted by either of the above.>> Cuz that’s where I believed I got it from. Posted below all the features of one them.

Also, I thought via the linking trail.. I was posting in the forum of one of those two. I was so tired I didn’t even notice the forum header is, WP.org forums. WOW.

It’s a jungle out there were WP is concerned. I’m just learning my way around. Sorry for the mass confusion.

That all said, I don’t believe any of this has to do with the themes, themselves. I’ve narrowed it down. I’m going to post and try to get things sorted out and to the bottom of this. It’s a matter of settings in Filezilla, and which shared folders to use for WP, etc.. I’m almost positive.

Thank you for being kind enough to respond, regardless my use of the incorrect name along with, a host of other screwed up points.

    Ughboy. :/

    Much appreciated and kind regards.

    Sandy. 🙂
