WordPress < 4.7 compat

Hey,

just updated to most recent version (2.3.6) on a WP 4.4 site which results in a fatal error:
Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function get_user_locale()

Codex states, this function was introduced in 4.7.

Please either update the plugin compatibility info or implement more strict checking. Thanks!
