Same here, not being able to complete update and unable to update plugins. Allready tried everything I can think of (manually update, deactivate plugins), but nothing will work.
Can I delete this plugin en put back 4.3?

An automated WordPress update has failed to complete
If the automatic update did not work on your server, then try MANUALLY updating. Download a fresh copy of the WordPress .zip file to your computer, unzip it, and use that to copy up all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory. You may need to delete the old wp-admin and wp-includes folders and files on your server before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first.

@wolgoed,
If the above info didn’t help you, then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. That way you stand a good chance of getting full attention to your specific issue. Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical servers, accounts, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Thus one problem, on one setup is not indicative of the functionality and reliability of an application as a whole.

Downloading update from https://downloads.wp.xz.cn/release/wordpress-4.4-no-content.zip…
Unpacking the update…
Verifying the unpacked files…
The update could not be unpacked
Installation Failed
This is the error it shows me. I will try to update it manually and give feedback.

It is likely that your server’s /tmp directory is full. Been seeing a lot of these around lately.
