Did you follow all these steps when creating your network?
    http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Create_A_Network

Is is it a subdomain or subdirectory install? You can’t log into the main site or just subsites?

Yes I followed the steps. I can’t login to the main site as a user but i can login to the wp panel. I have no problem on my home server just not on digitalocean. sub-domain install. I didn’t make any sub sites yet.

You said: “I didn’t have this problem in my home server”. Does that mean you created this network on a local server and migrated to a live server?

No. I had a server set up on a home computer(for testing). I started a server on digitalocean(for live production) and installed wordpress from scratch. When I tested my home server everything was fine. when I installed a server on digitalocean I had the problem.

Have you checked with Digital Ocean to make sure they support wildcard subdomains?

No I will do. Incase they do what could be the problem?I would like to figure out how to solve the problem. If they don’t I would have to use my home server as a live server.

I’m thinking that you may have to setup wildcard subdomains yourself, but do check with DO. That may not be the issue here though.

When you installed WP on the live server, did you verify that it worked as a single site install before creating the network? Let’s rule out that it’s a more basic problem.

Does the domain work properly to begin with? Can you throw up a simple html file into the domain root and access it?

    I can’t login as a user.

Does that mean that you CAN see the login page, but just can’t get the login to work? If not, what DO you see?–an error page, a white screen? If you CAN see the login page, what happens when you try to login? (Does it give you an error message, or does it redirect to the login page again?)

Everything was fine until I activated multisite. The site works fine from the backend.I just can’t sign in from the frontend .Is there a way I can privately give you the login details so you can test it from your end.I contacted softaculous and they said they could sign in from the frontend so I may be a problem from my home computer and it may be working just fine.I don’t know if it’s my computer or the wordpress.

If other people can log in, then I would definitely try another computer. Have you tried flushing the DNS cache on your computer?

    Thread Starter zustudios

    (@zustudios)

    It worked thanks.

It worked for chrome but not firefox.

Had you also cleared the cache & cookies for Firefox? Have you verified that it’s a problem that only you are having on your computer?

Yes everything works now thank you.
