WordPress 5.2 bug updating plugins

    Hi,
    I have installed the 5.2 version, i have differents sites where i use wordpress and in all sites there is a problem when i do an updates of, for example, 5-6 plugin together, i check-box the plugins i want to update and after i click (“aggiorna”) “update plugin” wordpress starts to update and put the maintenance.php file in the root, but after it stops to update for example at second, third, plugin and the funcionality is stopped.
    The file maintanance.php remains inside the root and the site will be in maintenance, the only solution is delete the maitenance file and delete the plugin where wordpress is stopped and after reinstall it.
    Please can you look this problem?

    this is probably a timeout issue on your host. Check your PHP error logs.

    Meantime, update in smaller chunks.

    It’s the first time that it do it, after updating at 5.2, do you mean error_log in the wp-admin folder?
    In that file there is only a db connection error in the june 2019 this is the last error, after there is nothing:

    You may want to ask your host to look into their own logs.

    Thanks i’ll look, is it possible that the problem is causing by using php 7.2?Because i use the 7.2 version in my sites…

    I think it’s just more likely that something pushed your site just over some limit. It may be temporary or may require some tweaking.
