WordPress 5.7 – comments are deleted!

    Hi, I use “Disable Gutenberg” on all of my websites.
    Since the update 5.7, comments are deleted automatically!!!

    I use it a lot to make things invisible but to keep it in case they should be visible again. Now, if I switch to visual and back to text ALL COMMENTS ARE DELETED.
    Blank white, no chance to bring it back.

    PLEASE fix that I really use it often, THANKS! And thanks for this great plugin!

    Hi @brisch, this is not happening on default WordPress installation. Indicating that there must be some conflict or issue with another plugin. So there are two ways forward:

    1) If you can provide steps to replicate the issue on *default WordPress install*, then I can investigate and try to resolve asap.

    2) Or, if that is not possible, then the best way to find out what is happening is to do some basic troubleshooting of your theme and plugins. I would be glad to provide a guide if it will be useful for you.

    It may have something to do with WP 5.7, but again the issue does not happen on default WordPress. So something else is involved, just a matter of finding it.

    Thank you, Jeff, for asking! I could not reproduce it, so I had no chance to really find out why this happened.
    It never happened again!
    And thanks again for the plugin, I still love it and use it a lot.
