• I was trying to apply a change of homepage to my blog, which i had done successfully before. I accidentally entered the wrong address in the “WordPress Address (URL)” field, and now I cannot access any of my pages. I cannot login or find my blog at all unless I edit the wp-config.php file as described here. But this only lets me login, and then i cannot edit the general settings. As yet I haven’t tried the database methods described on that page, is that the path i have to take?

Is it possible to reset back to how it was! Need help.

  • reset back to original through the database, that should get everything right

Since you cannot log in to make changes, you’ll have to do it another way indeed. The database method is the one you need.

[edit] Rev. was 26 seconds faster than me 🙂

Use one of the other methods suggested on that page.

I had hoped I could do something simple, like rename the folder wordpress is installed in to match the spelling error I entered.

Sorry but this has nothing to do with folder names. It’s a database issue.
