WordPress almost crawling

    Recently after i moved to a new host and upgraded the WP install to 2.3.1 the blog became absolutely sluggish and slow.

    The observed behaviour is as follows:
    You click on a link and it starts to wait … wait … wait and finaly loads in a blink of an eye.
    This behaviour is observed on the front page and in the backend too.

    The environment is as follows:
    apache – 2.2
    php – 5.2.0
    mysql – 5.0
    wp – 2.3.1
    plugins – nothing fancy, adsense, search everythig, polyglot, wp-print, geshi

    my personal suspicions lie in DB changes, but cant confirm them

    Your site loaded perfectly for me. Have you tried using a different browser?

    A reinstall of the wordpress in a new DB fixed it. The problem seems missing in it.

    The old DB is still available should someone want to look at it.

    And i suppose i should open a ticket for WXR import mangling the attachments
