• I don’t know if this is a WordPress issue or not. I only noticed the problem after updating to the latest WordPress.

I had been using a plugin called Wordbooker to display a Facebook Like box in my sidebar. After updating WordPress the Like box went away. I also noticed that my Google AdSense ads were not displaying. I didn’t immediately tie the two issues together.

So thinking that this Wordbooker plugin wasn’t doing what it’s supposed to do, I tried the Jetpack Facebook Like Box. Now my site shows the Facebook Like Box with an error saying that the page can’t be displayed. Still no Google AdSense ad.

I tried viewing my site http://www.everythingnonfiction.com using the Chrome browser and had the same issues. I tried using Firefox and both the Facebook Like Box and the Google ad display properly.

The only thing I have been able to uncover through digging is that this problem could somehow be related to ad blocking. I had other users check the site and some could see the ad but not the like box.

I called tech support for my anti virus (Avast) and they say it has nothing to do with Avast. I have the same issue with another site at .

Any ideas what’s going on and how do I fix it? It’s one thing if it doesn’t look right for me, it’s a whole other thing when it doesn’t look right to visitors.
