WordPress and Plesk

Hi, I have several websites/domains running WordPress on a standard plesk installation. Now, sometimes when i upgrade plugins, it gives me a internal server error, timeout of fcgi script, if i then press f5 it mostly works. I wonder if i’ve setup anything wrongly? or is there anything known todo against this problem or to increase performance?
