Did you ever get an answer to this? I, too, don’t know much about databases. I am using webhost4life and am not sure where to go after I create the database. Is setting up a ODBC/DSN the next step?
Hopefully, someone will respond.

In the email that you received after asking for the creation of the database you have the four (4) pieces of info you need to fill in for the OBCD/DNS form.
Fill out the rest from the email and give it a name for the OBCD/DNS field.

ok. I did that. Now what? I still get page not found errors when I try to install. Am I missing a step?

Where do you get the not found error? For the install.php file? Is the WP script uploaded via FTP where it should be?
I think so… This is what I’m typing in the address box:
http://www.site360.mysite4now.com/froma/wordpress/wp-admin/install.php
And that’s where the file is located.
Drop the leading w ww. and try it. (Space so it will display here).
That worked! yeah! Now for the next step. I have a Templatemonster theme. I uploaded it correctly and the readme instructions tell me to go to the WordPress Administration Panel. Do you know where that is?

I’m on a roll and answering my own questions. However, now I have the issue of the stylesheet is missing. I uploaded the extracted files in the same place and there seems to be a style.css file in the folder. Suggestions?
Unfortunately, it’s saying that I have a missing style sheet. suggestions?
Do you mean to test? Or permanently? I am setting this up for a client who wants this particular theme from Templatemonster. I cannot use another theme.
I would have to say for a test, then ;’)
uh-oh, this is an IIS (MS) server, isn’t it?
What do you mean uh-oh? I can’t believe that I am the only one to use webhost4life. What is the issue?
This is going to seem stupid, but it’s been one of those days… Blame it on the heat. I closed the window with my new blog without setting it as a favorite. Now I can’t remember how to access it. Is it wp-login.php? That’s not working, if it is.
