First off, have a look to your wp-config.php to see if you have a define about the auto-save interval.
Yes i already did that. It is defined. and is set to the default definition.

What time you have defined in there?
Here is the line from the .php file.
define( ‘AUTOSAVE_INTERVAL’, 300 );

The default is 60 seconds.

Ok. I might have changed it. Regardless it is not and has not ever worked. As i stated, i have worked for 45 minutes before, clicked off my tab accidentally and lost all my progress. I am working RIGHT NOW as i type this, and NO auto saves are occurring.

This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.
If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.
Ok i will do that. But why does wordpress autosave interfere with themes and plugins? What if it happens to be my premium theme that i paid for ON WORDPRESS? So i can’t even buy things from wordpress without it’s functionality changing altogether…?? in the editor no less, not even the website (which is what themes actually change)
