WordPress can't access server after move

Hi There,

I’m in the process of moving wordpress from a hosted instance to a bitnami ec2 server, I’ve copied everything across but it doesn’t look like wordpress has any permissions on the server, I can’t install plugins and the email functionality doesn’t work, my guess is it can’t write to the file system and can’t trigger the scripts.

The user the files have should be fine but I’m wondering if there is a config somewhere where the user has to be defined? Does anyone have any ideas?
