  • Hi Deb,

The link you provided is for WordPress.com websites. This forum is for self hosted ww.wp.xz.cn websites. (There are two different flavors of WordPress)

If your website is the self hosted WordPress version, then you’ll most likely need to install a plugin in order to get a contact form up and running.

I recommend using the contact form provided by the Jetpack plugin or use the Contact Form 7 plugin:

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/jetpack/

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/contact-form-7/

If you’re self hosted now, that won’t apply to your site. However, I believe that particular contact form might be a feature of the Jetpack plugin.

[edit] yep’.. what @jami Gibbs said 🙂

Hi. Thanks for getting back to me. I currently am building a website. WordPress is an add-on feature from my hosting provider. I made it mydomain.com/blog. That means it is self hosting? I am sorry for the confusion.

That means it is self hosting?

Yes, indeed. It’s all yours! 🙂
