WordPress Custom CSS Editor Not Working (Getting JSON_PARSE_ERROR)

So after I updated to the latest version, whenever i try to use the Customizer interface, I get the error “JSON_PARSE_ERROR” right after I click “save changes” with no other explanation.
What can I do?

If you can figure out a way to reproduce the problem that would be ideal so we can fix the issue in core.

Next time it happens, find out what the contents are for the
post_contentof thecustomize_changesetpost.
