WordPress Dashboard SLOW

    Hi all,

    I just bought a domain for the first time. Installed WordPress with 1 click install through GoDaddy. The cPanel with godaddy is fine, its quick enough but as soon as I start looking through menu’s in WordPress Dashboard, everything is VERY slow.

    Most times if I say click on Plugin > New, it will just sit there spinning and then time out. Or it takes 30 seconds to open the themes, sometimes I get internal server error from timing out. This is all with a brand new WordPress install, so I have no plugins active, no webpage themes except default etc.

    I called GoDaddy support, they said “We think there’s something wrong with WordPress, there’s nothing with your hosting”.

    Any ideas what is wrong here?

    UPDATE: I just installed Joomla on GoDaddy as a test and it’s doing the exact same thing. How can this NOT be a hosting issue?
