WordPress Database Error: [Lost connection to MySQL server during query]

WordPress database error: [Lost connection to MySQL server during query]
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = ‘theme-almost-spring-options’

The above error is what I keep getting. My pages load slowly and the error above is persistent. I’ve scoured the forums but have not found the help I need. I’ve contacted GoDaddy, my hosting provider, and they’re not helpful.
