wordpress editing alternative software

Is there an alternative to the tiny mce editor? I saw things like Microsoft live blog editor or something like that?
I tried advanced mce plugin but it’s kind of not comfortable to work with word docs (generates junk code and not so quite easy to re-style the lines)
Ideas?
