    No image in your post.

    But most problems with displaying the editor point back to a conflict– usually with plugins, but sometimes with themes. Have you tried switching to a default WP theme like Twenty Fourteen?

    I just noticed this is in the “Installation” section. Are you just installing WP and this is not working?

    If that’s true, please try downloading a fresh version WP and unzip the files. Then using FTP or your hosting account file manager, reupload the wp-admin and wp-includes files — but not the wp-content files (that’s where your own themes, plugins & updloads live).

    Hi. I think that I may have put this in the incorrect slot. But after updating WOrdpress to the latest version. I can only write post in html editor.

    So I take it from your response that it DID work at one point, but doesn’t any more.

    You said earlier that you deactivated all the plugins, but this didn’t solve this issue. This problem is very often a plugin issue, so if you left a few active before while testing, do try deactivating all of them.

    Otherwise, have you tried changing the theme to Twenty Fourteen?

    I believe you need to click on visual in the editor area, vs… being in the text mode.

    that image shows where the visual and the text mode selection is at on top of the editor to write your post.

    and this post: http://www.rv5.com/switching-between-visual-and-text-mode-in-wordpress/

    explains a little difference between the two…

    @rv5.com: I don’t think that’s actually the OP’s issue, but it’s good to verify.

    When the visual editor disappears, it’ usually a plugin or theme conflict, sometimes related to javascript. Identifying the offending plugin or that it is the theme is the first step to fixing it.
