WordPress Email Verification Hacked
-
Every now and then when I login to my wordpress dashboard, I am sent to a page which prompts me to comfirm my email address:
Administration email verificationPlease verify that the administration email for this website is still correct. Why is this important? (opens in a new tab)
Current administration email: [email protected]
This email may be different from your personal email address.
Update The email is correct
Remind me laterHowever on my site at britanniaglen.ca, this page has been hijacked as if I click on any link, instead of continuing to go into the dashboard, I am redirected to a casino website.
However I can access the backend right after that by closing that window and then typing in britanniaglen.ca/wp-admin.
It seems this email verification has been hacked. GoDaddy is the host and they can’t figure it out and I did a site scan at Sucuri and Virus Total and both came up clean, so wondering if anyone can help me by either getting rid of the redirect or is there a way to teurn off these requests for email verification?
