Do you have any other plugin installed?
Which theme are you using?
In the admin interface the plugin just creates the shortcode so if there is any problem it must be an incompatibility with a particular theme or other installed plugin.

I dont have any other plugin installed related to document formatting.
I am using a free theme called zerif lite.
I dont have issues with any other plugins , apart from Docexpresso. It worked for the first time and the next time, It was stuck, all it says at the bottom of the page is – connecting to public api.
please help. I need this to get my site going, as I have all the information in doc format.
Please advice, what should I be doing next, to get this resolved.
I removed every single plugin and applied another theme too . still, docexpresso freezes wordpress , when I try to update the page.

There is no reason for this message to show up: “connecting to public api.”
Docxpresso does not do any outside connections or api calls!!
Does your WP installation works with standard posts?
it seems like your WP installation has been attacked…..

@azambasha1987: i guess you are using Yoast SEO. If so, let disable Yoast SEO and Docxpresso works like charm.
I just checked that it is enough to deactivate the readibility test of the Yoast SEO plugin.
