WordPress Import Tool not working

    Hi. As the title says, I can’t import a XML file from a WordPress website to another. I want to import the posts from a certain category. I created the category on the other website with the same slug, I installed the WordPress imported and when i try to upload the XML file that is exported from the first website, nothing happens. I just have a screen with “Import WordPress” title. Thats all. I looked in the chrome console and network, no errors. The XML file has 66 KB.

    Try checking your site’s error logs for a more specific error message. Your hosts should be able to help you accessing your site’s error logs.

    I would love to do that, but that is not an option. I don’t have and I will not have access to the cPanel

    EDIT: I just found the error.log file through FTP. Everything is ok there, no errors in the last 3 days

    EDIT 2: I tried to upload a file in the media gallery and I saw that WordPress didn’t had permissions to upload the file. I am thinking that this might be a problem too. I changed the permission for “uploads” folder to 777 and now i can upload files. I also checked if my XML files are being uploaded and they are. I also changed the permissions for the imported plugin to 777. Still the same problem
