• Hi I have just downloaded and tried installing the latest version of WordPress yesterday. I get to step two and receive the following errors

Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /home/httpd/vhosts/datingwomenguides.com/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade-functions.php on line 343

Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /home/httpd/vhosts/datingwomenguides.com/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade-functions.php on line 347

Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /home/httpd/vhosts/datingwomenguides.com/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade-functions.php on line 350

Warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in /home/httpd/vhosts/datingwomenguides.com/httpdocs/wordpress/wp-admin/upgrade-functions.php on line 353

It repeats this for awhile and then i get alot of errors where it is trying to put info into the tables that it couldnt create in the first place.

Then it says complete please login, even though it hasnt actually created anything.

I had my host look at it, he wasn’t able to trouble shoot it at this time.

I am thinking it may have to do with the version of php that I have on my server as it caused a problem on another script that was working fine before the recent update.

This is what I am running on my server if it helps

    Version of PHP: 4.3.11
The operating system is a red hat linux enterprise clone called centos completely identical to RHEL 3

Hopefully someone can help out with this.

    Thanx

    fazman
