• I had to reinstall WordPress on my host awhile back. I put it into a new directory and got everything migrated over and got all the broken links fixed and whatnot.

I have one lingering problem that I cannot solve, and the linked page is just an example. WordPress does not send me notification e-mails when I receive comments to any of my posts. My previous install sent me notification e-mails just fine.

I installed the WP Mail SMTP plugin and then used my host’s server settings (GoDaddy) to see if the mail servers being used might have been a problem. It seems configured correctly, as the test messages go through. But even after that, I get nothing for post comment notifications.

My e-mail address is correctly entered in the WordPress settings, and under Discussion settings, it’s supposed to e-mail me when anyone comments, as well as when any comments are held as suspected spam. But I get none of those messages.

Is this something I can straighten out by tweaking some settings on my GoDaddy userCP or give them a phone call to adjust some setting on their end (which I’ve had to do before on some other issue)?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I am sure you took care of this but just double checking if you have the settings enabled?

    Settings → Discussion page:

    Anyone posts a comment
A comment is held for moderation
