WordPress Installation with Hostway

    Hello there, I have tried and tried to add wordpress. I know my username and password is correct and my database name. I sent in a ticket confirming my database host. I enabled php but still to no avail I have not been able to install.

    Error establishing a database connection

    This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at localhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

    * Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    * Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    * Are you sure that the database server is running?

    I was wondering if anyone that has installed on hostway has a solution

    Wait for a reply on that ticket. The error is correct 99.99% of the time. Usually, either the DB_HOST is set incorrectly, or the database is actually offline.
