WordPress is a remarkably flexible CMS
-
I’ve been going nuts on WordPress, using it not only as a blogging tool, but as a CMS for both static and dynamic sites. The abilities of WordPress make it a natural for sites of all kinds, especially sites that feature regularly updated “news” topics. Here are some of my sites:

This is my regular blog site, the first one I converted to WordPress.http://lakefront.laroccamusic.com
This site is the information site for a nightly summer concert series. The database is pre-loaded with information about each performance, and the post date is modifed to very early in the morning of the performance. That way, the performance for the current date is automatically displayed. Very cool.http://www.highergroundproductions.org
My production company site. The Higher Ground Productions site makes extensive use of pages for the “static” information. Entries for company news and project information display new items on the front pages. These are just a few ways I can think of to use WordPress. It’s a natural for local and regional bands, and I’m also working with a hobby shop owner, designing his site with a combination of WordPress and oCommerce.
