    Hi there!
I’ve written a guide as to how to install (test rather) WordPress on WinXP running Apache, MySQL, PHP and Perl (as a bonus option).
    http://www.truedeath.com/guides/server_project.html
Hope you users out there find it useful! Please feel free to comment/improve on it. Perhaps a good addition to the wiki?
PS: The Perl’s really there if you *really* want to try out MT. But we all know the conclusion don’t we? Hehe… WP whoops MT anyday wahey!
    Cheers!

Ah, but how DO you add things to the wiki?

Go to the wiki. get a username then add/modify content.
    Why not GNU/Linux?

Guessing, he probably did the guide for WinXP since it’s more commonly used by home users. Though I’m sure a lot of the guide could be applied to Linux.

Mark: Exactly. I figured if you were already running Linux, you’d probably be running the whole LAMP she-bang. And that would make WP installation for testing a cinch.
It’s XP users that need help the most I think hence me writing the tute.

It’s done! The guide is up on the Wiki as a link though. Might want to consider porting it indefinitely as to keep it always up-to-date.
