WordPress Password not accepted after Update

WordPress wont accept my password after I updated the DSM operating system on my Synology NAS. I was running the latest version of WordPress but this appears to have been rolled back to an earlier version as part of the update, but I don’t know if that is the issue. I have reinstalled the latest version.

I went into phpMyAdmin WP-Users table and changed the password to what it should be but it didn’t make any difference. Unfortunately I never thought to try and login with the password that was already in phpmyadmin when I went to change it.

I have spent all day trying to fix it, including renaming the Plugins folder and Theme to see if it was related to those but still no joy.

Any thoughts.
