• Hello,

I have a list of plugins that I am not sure if they are compatible with PHP v 8.0 and up. I look for things online and for information about them but unfortunately I am unable to confirm them if they are compatible or not. Could you please test the following plugins to see if they are compatible with PHP 8?

    Formidable Visual Views
    Groups
    Groups Import Export"
    LuckyWP Table of Contents
    Custom Content Shortcode
    Custom Post Type UI
    WordPress Importer
    Multisite Enhancements
    Login LockDown
    Video User Manuals
    Multisite Enhancements
    List Custom Taxonomy Widget
    Fix Image Rotation
    WP REST API
    WP All Import Pro
    Post Expiry Plugin

What? Who are you asking to do this time consuming task for you?

I did not mean any disrespect. I was just hoping for confirmation on these plugins.

So, set up a test site and try them on PHP 8. If you find issues, please report them to the plugin devs in their sub-forums here.

I am doing this on behalf of the company I work for. They are not sure as well. If you think that I am being unreasonable, then feel free not to reply and close this question if you see fit. I am not able to make a testing site because I am just a student worker who is not authorized to perform testing.

Moved to Fixing WordPress, this is not an Everything else WordPress topic.

    Then get to work. 😉

then feel free not to reply

Yeah, do not say that to any volunteers again OK? That was rude.

and close this question if you see fit.

Granted. But I won’t close the topic yet.

Here’s the thing: your request is not a bad one and I do think you are just asking and seeking support. That’s good! And why these forums are 100% staffed by volunteers just like you. But for PHP compatibility topics you really need to do the work.

Setup a WordPress local install on your PC, Mac or Linux box. This site has software to make that easy for you. Select PHP 8 when you install it.

    https://localwp.com/

Once there, install the plugins and enabled and view your error log.

    https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/article/debugging-in-wordpress/

And then use your test site. Put each plugin though it’s paces and then examine the debug log file. If there are no warnings or errors then the plugins are compatible with PHP 8.

That is the process you or your company need to follow to determine any compatibility issues.
