Please check if you are using any redirection plugins.

    Hi,

Bad news is, I think that original blog post is either gone/deleted or made draft/private.

Why? Because WordPress will try to find the closest matching URL if a page is no longer found (to avoid throwing a 404 if possible).

The good news, this is easy to test.

Try to access this page (don’t accept any auto completes and don’t fill-in the full URL).

    https://www.thecollectivemill.com/gro

Your site should redirect you to your How to Grow Your Email List . . . post.

    Are you with me?

If so, now scroll towards the bottom of your How to Grow post to the pagination (prev/next post).

Now, click on your How to Write an Epic About Me Page . . .

This will throw a 404, but if you look at the URL, your browser was try to bring up your PDF doc.

Now, an even easier test. Try to find your original “old” post in your WordPress admin posts listing. If it still exists, check the permalink and the publish status.

    Hope that helps!

@advancedblog2017 I do have a redirection plugin. It’s called “Redirection” by John Godley.

@mlchaves The article still exists. The status is “Published” and the visibility is “Public” so I don’t believe that’s the issue.
