First, please make sure that your browser is up to date: https://browsehappy.com/
If it is not, please try updating your browser or switching to a different browser.
If it is, please do these two things:
1. Try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies.
2. Try with all browser extensions or add-ons temporarily disabled.
Please let us know how each step goes for you, and which browser (and version of) you’re using if you’re still having trouble.
Thanks for your reply James.
I’ve done all what you’ve suggested and I still have the same problem with Google Chrome.
The version I’m using is 84.0.4147.125 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Hi there,
I tested the Reader on the latest version of Chrome (same as yours) and it’s working without issues.
Are you getting an error or is the page not loading properly?
Hi Fotis,
There’s no error showing, it’s just not loading at all.
Are you able to check under a different browser, like Firefox, Safari, or Edge?
Yes, I can access Reader through Edge and Firefox, and I’ve just realised that I can also access the Reader if I open up a separate tab in Google Chrome. What I can’t do though is use the Reader from my dashboard in Chrome.
I prefer to use Chrome for WordPress and and not the other browsers. I know it’s not a big deal, just irritating. Thanks

What’s the dashboard you’re referring to? An extension for Chrome?
My website’s dashboard from where I can access everything. At the top of the page in the right hand corner next to my profile is a small logo (which looks a bit like a ‘comments’ symbol. If I click on that all the ‘comments, likes and follows appear. I’ve always used that facility to access other people I folllow and their comments about my pages. I still can on Edge and Firefox – but not Chrome. It’s only just recently stopped working.
Can you grab a screenshot of that so I can have a look? You can use a tool like https://snipboard.io/
That looks like something is blocking our JavaScript from loading there.
Are you sure you tried CHrome with all extensions disabled? That include any ad/tracker blockers.
I did, and I’ve now disabled them again and left them disabled. I haven’t seen an improvement yet.
I’ve gone to Chrome Settings > More Tools > Extensions, and disabled. Am I missing something?
Open an Incognito window, log in to your dashboard and see if notifications work on not.
Done as requested, but the notifications still don’t work
Are you blocking third-party cookies in Chrome? If so, would you please see if there’s an improvement with them unblocked?
