Hello, as long as the plugin is active, the “Revisions” tab in the WP backend is missing.

I work with WordPress & Enfold.

    Hi,

Thanks for reporting this, and let me reassure you on the main point first: WP Statistics has no feature that disables or hides WordPress post revisions, and it does not touch your revisions or their data. Nothing has been lost; your revisions are still stored as normal.

This is most likely a display conflict. WP Statistics can show a small content-view statistics summary inside the post editor, and to do that it loads a script on the edit screen. On some theme or editor combinations (for example Enfold), that script can conflict with the editor and stop other panels, such as Revisions, from rendering.

The quickest way to confirm is to turn that editor feature off:

    1. Go to Statistics → Settings → Display Options
    2. Find “View Stats in Editor” and untick Enable
    3. Save, reload the post edit screen, and check if Revisions is back

This only disables the in-editor stats summary. All of your tracking and reports keep working exactly as before.

If that brings Revisions back, it confirms the conflict and we would like to fix it properly. To help us pin it down, could you let us know:

    – Are you using the Block editor or the Classic editor?
    – Your WordPress version and WP Statistics version
    – Any errors in your browser console (press F12, Console tab) on the post edit screen while “View Stats in Editor” is enabled

With those details we can reproduce it and sort out the conflict. Thanks for your patience.

    Hi Mostafa Soufi,
your idea worked. After disabling it, the revisions reappeared.

    • I’m working with—or rather, using—the Classic Editor via the Enfold settings.
    • WP 7.0 | Enfold 7.1.4

I just reactivated the setting, and suddenly it’s working. It’s now displayed even with the “View Stats in Editor” feature enabled. It seems to be in God’s hands – I can’t explain it right now. All I wanted to do was trigger the error again. 😀

    Hi,

Glad to hear it is working now, and thanks for confirming the details (Classic Editor with Enfold, WordPress 7.0, Enfold 7.1.4).

The on and off behavior you saw is almost certainly a caching one rather than anything random. The editor loads its scripts once and they get cached (by the browser, and often by a caching or optimization plugin). A stale or partially loaded script can stop a panel like Revisions from rendering, and saving the setting forces the editor to reload with fresh assets, which clears it. That is why it worked after toggling, and why it now behaves correctly with the feature back on.

If it ever returns, the quickest fix is to toggle “View Stats in Editor” off and on, or clear your site and browser cache and hard-refresh the editor. If it persists, send us any errors from the browser console (F12 → Console) on the edit screen and we will dig in.

Glad it is sorted, and thanks for the kind follow-up.

    Best regards,
