WordPress sending Multiple update emails – can't stop them

I have been receiving up to 12 emails per day from WordPress with reminders to update to 4.2 and I cannot stop them! I have read the forums and do not have an update plug in, cannot delete the admin email and I cannot automatically update my site. Please help!!
