WordPress Site Hosting Issue

I have a few wordpress sites hosted on a VPS. My server keeps crashing due to exceeding memory, I was told it was due to a sleeping process called “matchup”. I don’t know how to disable this process, but it keeps causing my server to crash. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
