Hello, themesinfo.com also detects wp theme. Tested with free plugin 1.9.5 and only used functions to hide theme and style.css (however, it’s pretty easy to find any theme name by searching the .css file)

Hi,
Sorry for this, keep in mind that this free plugin may not be able to hide everything, on large websites.
The WP Hide provides many features to hide WordPress, mainly by changing default URLs, modifying login and admin dashboard location, changing API’s endpoints etc. After set-up is completed, most of the websites will no longer be recognised as using WordPress.
But other sites may contain complex plugins like Elementor, Divi, WooCommerce, JS Composer etc which outputs many specific traces, like classes and ID. So if someone ( or a system detection service ) sees such fingerprints it will link the site using WordPress.
The WP Hide PRO comes with additional functions that help with such traces, so you can virtually change anything, mainly through the PostProcessing and the Replacement functionality explained at https://www.wp-hide.com/documentation/html-css-js-replacements/
So if the free WP Hide failed to hide everything on your site, you might need the PRO version.
@boabo Make sure the WP Hide > Rewrites > Theme > Remove description header from Style file option is active, so it strips out any headers/details in the theme style.css
Thanks
It works (theme name cannot be found online) but you can still find wp theme searching > view page source > find > .css. I was afraid to enable Rewrites > Theme > Remove description header from Style file option as you mentioned to use with caution. Thanks

Hi,
You can enable the option. Rarely, depending on the used host, the theme stylesheet may not load correctly. In such a case just disable that option, so it reverts.
Thanks
Hi
This option WP Hide > Rewrites > Theme > Remove description header from Style file was already activated but the Theme and Yoast plugin can still be detected, is there another option that needs to be activated? I also cleared the cache but still.
Thanks.

Hi,
Sorry, there isn’t another option. If still detectable, most probably it picks the other traces, the theme outputs (e.g. elementor, divi ). Those are possible to remove using the functionality I explained above.
Thanks
I already applied the settings you asked for but still.
If I upgrade to the Pro version will it be hidden?
