wordpress symlink plugin error

    I’m using WordPress 4.3.1.

    As far as I know, until WordPress 3.9 the Symbolic links were broken; __ FILE __ global variable was returning the wrong path, therefore, functions such as plugin_url() were returning the wrong URL.

    Then, it was fixed in WP 3.9, but seemingly, it is still broken on my end.

    Any thoughts why?
