    Hi,

I am hosting my blog on Digital Ocean’s VPS through Cloudways interface. They do not have a mail server built into their system. Due to this, my WordPress and the plugins are not able to send any notifications.

Can you please guide me on how I can work around this problem and force WordPress and plugins to send me emails using some protocol etc.

    Need help.

    My blog is http://insidepakistan.pk

You can use Postman SMTP plugin to solve this issue: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/postman-smtp/

You can use it with your Gmail to make it work. See installations instructions here: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/postman-smtp/installation/

If you face any issues open a thread it plugin’s forum. Hope it helps.:)

For WordPress to send mail it does it through PHP Mail function which does not work that well and sometimes fails or can take it’s time to send emails.

Thanks a lot for guidance. This plugins works out of the box and now my email is being delivered perfectly.

You seem to be new to WordPress. The mail function never gave me any problem in last 5 years at least. Current issue is due to absence of mail server on my host.

@fahad1112, Try to avoid telling people that they’re newbies at the technology that they’re trying to support you with. It doesn’t go down well and is provocative.

I don’t do it usually but the reply was irrelevant. It looks as if the poster didn’t even read my concern.

Leaving that aside, your point is noted for future compliance.
