I tried to upgrade WordPress today and it failed. My hosting company said:

“I have thoroughly investigated the case and the problem appears to be produced by the zencache plugin that you are using for your WordPress. That plugin appears to have cached some old information for the database of the application from prior to having it updated and it now breaks the update process for the database.

I am afraid that even with the plugin disabled the application still tries to fetch the cached information from it and this is why it fails. I suggest that you consult with the developers of the plugin as they should be able to resolve the problem for you.”

I’ve deleted the plugin and any cache folders/files.

    Can you h elp?

    My site is: http://tendingmygarden.com/

    Thanks.

@buildblog ZenCache does not do any database caching, so what the hosting company is accusing ZenCache of doing simply isn’t possible.

We have tens of thousands of users who are running ZenCache and who had no problem upgrading to the latest version of WordPress.
