What happens in you click “update now”?

It appears that whatever you did in cpanel made no difference, so I suspect you put the files in the wrong place.

I click update wordpress in dashboard but update is not complete (see screenshot). And after update in ftp i check my website, website is open properly. And in cpanel all the files shows todays date. When i transfer files in filezilla it takes only 15 minutes. When last time i do that filezilla takes too much time and website is not open, so i restore website by backup.

Where are you putting these files you say you’re uploading? In your public_html directory?

I put the files in httpdocs > wordpress. I open wordpress files and delete wp-admin and wp-include and upload new from desktop. After that i transfer rest of the file. Then i open wp-content and only change index file (leave plugins and themes files as it is). Basically i dont change wp-content, wp-config file. I see that wordpress files are reside in httpdocs folder ( when i click on httpdocs then i see wp-admin wp-include etc. wordpress files with wordpress folder, when i click on the wordpress folder then again i see wordpress files.) also. MY all plugins are reside in httpdocs > wp-content. So i upload files in httpdocs>wordpress but when i check in cpanel httpdocs files also showed today’s date. so i think all files change in httpdocs and httpdocs>wordpress.

In httpdocs, replace all files *except* wp-config.php.

OK finally wordpress update is complete. I replace all wordpress files in httpdocs and in dashboard, database update message is displayed.I click on it and process is complete.
    Thank you for your cooperation.
