WordPress won’t update: No posts, plugin updates, settings, nothing…
-
About Feb 1, 2017 my WordPress stopped allowing any updates. This includes updates to:
• Content additions (posts and pages)
• Plugin updates
• General settings
• Everything elseThe site still functions normally on the front end, but the back end is completely blocked from any changes.
When I try to make a change (such as updating plugins) I get an error “Are you sure you want to do this. Try again later.” I click OK. The site UI seems to appear that the plugins were updated, but seconds later the UI refreshes with the old information/settings.
Yes, I have cleared all the browser caches. I’ve tried to clear the server-side cache also… I have Sucuri installed. I have tried to clear Sucuri cache, but I get this error message: “WordPress Nonce verification failed, try again going back and checking the form.”
An additional funky behavior: Login on the admin panel ALWAYS fails on the first attempt. I suspect somehow the update problem is effecting the submit of login credentials.
