Dear Sir/Madam,
Good day!
Thank you very much for taking the time to open and read this letter.

I’m the web/app developer for Plataforma Makobo (Responsible for the back-end side of the website);

We have been using WordPress for the development of this website for two years, and this year we decided to add a new feature that would benefit the Plataforma Makobo’s Organization – The Payment and Shipping option for our users to purchase and receive our product.

We are using the Plugin “WooCommerce MPGS (MasterCard Payment Gateway Services)” Developed by Ali Basheer to test the payments on the website with the test version of the Gateway (with test Authentication Password and test Merchant ID);
Everything was running perfectly fine (we could simulate payments) until mid-April.
On April 26th (The day we discovered the error), We were about to do our last payment test to move from the testing environment to the production environment with the MPGS Plugin; however, when we were clicking the “Place Order” button, the page displays the following error:
“Error saving customer.
Reason:
Payment error:”
The web page is not redirecting us to the payment page of the MPGS Plugin; as a result, The user cannot proceed with the payment.

We first Inspected the website (to find out why it is displaying that error) by using the Network tool of our browser, and it only shows us a message with no helpful information.
”{
“result”: “failure”,
“messages”: “

•
Error saving customer. Reason:

•
Payment error:

”,
“refresh”: false,
“reload”: false
}”
We attempted to clean our cookies and test it again; however, it continued to display the same error;
We also attempted to change our payment Gateway Plugin by using the M-Pesa WooCommerce plugin and finally the PayPal plugin (all plugins support Mozambique, the country where the Plataforma Makobo’s headquarter is located);
however, the webpage continued to display the same error and did not redirect the user to the payment page.

All three plugins show the same error (which is unusual to happen);
Yesterday, we tried to simulate the payment using PayPal with the sandbox business test account (To decide whether the problem is with the plugins or with WordPress/WooCommerce since this is currently the most reliable way to test a payment gateway in our country).

For this reason, we are reaching out to The WordPress/WooCommerce Technical team to ask for an urgent support regarding this problem.
We welcome any support The WordPress Technical Support Team/WooCommerce Technical Support Team can offer.
