wordpress.com activation code?

    First, sorry if this support request does not belong to here.

    I would like to try out askismet and I have registered a wordpress.com account. I got to the confirmation page where it tells me “A new activation code has been generated for you and we have sent it to [email protected]”.

    However, I have not received any e-mail, yet, from [email protected]. I’m not using any spam filter in the email address I used to register.

    I’m wondering if there are any problems with the service?

    Since there seems to be no support area at wordpress.com, I came here for help. I would appreciate if anyone could drive me in the right direction. Again, my appologies if this is not posted in the right place.

    There’s a support area at http://wordpress.com/forums, but I think you have to have a login to access it. Right now, wp.com is undergoing some sort of upgrade, perhaps they’re running behind with the emails. How long has it been since you sent in the request?

    Thanks for the link. Unfortunatelly, since I didn’t got the email, I cannot log in/post there.

    Hmmm. I’d wait at least a day. Then post back if you still haven’t received anything, and I’ll input some info for you through the forum.

    Ok, I’ll wait.

    Just to add more information, I also tried to request the activation key, via the “Get Key” form. Nothing.

    Well, I’d trot over there and post now, but they’d tell me you need to wait at least a day anyway, no doubt, especially since there’s this upgrade going on – about which for some unknown reason there’s a 130 post or so sticky thread….

    Anyway, post back tomorrow morning (unless an email lands sooner of course); I stop by here first thing (my morning – MST), and will check.
