WordPress.com: Changing default post status for Post by Email

hey there – i’m a wordpress newbie and don’t know if this is the appropriate forum for wordpress.com users but I’m pulling my hair out trying to find the option I saw before to control the default post status. (I found this thread but I’m using the web-hosted version on wordpress.com)

what I’m trying to do is change the default post status to “Draft” for the Post to Email feature.

any pointers would be appreciated!
