WordPress.com Stats Plugin no longer working

As of yesterday the WordPress.com Stats plugin is no longer working in my WordPress admin section. I have made no changes to my blog at all and now when trying to see the stats on my dashboard I try to log in to the stats and it just loads and loads and loads for a long time and eventually errs out with this:

Loading <../wp-includes/charts/stats-data.php?blog=12344556&page=estats&unit=1&width=670&height=265> has timed out

Since those files referenced are not hosted with my blog but on the wordpress.com site this leads me to think something is wrong on their end. I can still view statistics in written format from previous days but the chart and “today” stats will not work.

is anyone else experiencing this issue?
