• Hi,

I have a wordpress.com account, and would like to stream photos from my flickr account, using the flickrpress plugin, if possible.

It says I need wordpress 2.9.2 to do this, but when I tried to upgrade, it prompted me to go to a sample config file to modify and upload to a server with my db name and p/w, etc…. I don’t know where to upload to??

How do I do this? Is it because I need to have a ww.wp.xz.cn account for this to work? I would like to be able to just use my wordpress.com account to do this. Can I just upgrade my existing wordpress.com account or do I need to open a ww.wp.xz.cn account and start from scratch?

    thanks for your help!

  • You can’t “upgrade” WordPress software on WordPress.COM. They are by the way running at least 2.9.2 but it is WordPress.MU (Multi-User)

ww.wp.xz.cn does not do any hosting of blogs, it is the repository of the WordPress software.

If you want to move off WordPress.COM, you need to get a site name, sign-up for a host then load the ww.wp.xz.cn software and then you become your own webmaster (or you can hire someone to do the work for you)

This should answer some more questions: http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/New_To_WordPress_-_Where_to_Start

This forum is to help self hosted sites running ww.wp.xz.cn software.
