• I’m using php to cache files.
Super caching appears to be working however on “Test Cache” I get the following:

wordpress wp super cache cURL error 56: Failure when receiving data from the peer

    and

Fetching http://www.mysite.com/ to prime cache: OK
Fetching first copy of http://www.mysite.com/: FAILED
Fetching second copy of http://www.mysite.com/: FAILED

One or more page requests failed:
The pages do not match! Timestamps differ or were not found!

On debugging I get a mostly ok result except for this one:

11:09:40 14849 /wp-admin/options-general.php?page=wpsupercache&tab=debug maybe_stop_gc: GC flag not found. GC will go ahead..

  • I’m having the same issue. Any ideas?

Is this a server / hosting provider issue?
    Thanks

    Hi.

Here is a reply I got from the hosting company in relation to the above issue:

The caching plugin will not work on our shared platform as we will not allow the plugin access to the PHP.ini file on the server. If you wish to use this plugin then we would recommend moving onto one of our dedicated hosting servers.

    This might help.

Oh that’s annoying. Yep mine is on a shared server too.
    Thanks for the response.

It is. Did you check the timestamps yourself?
