Sadly, our plugin does not work with dimensions or weight (yet), which can then be used to calculate shipping. If these are important for you, I’m afraid our plugin won’t be able to help.

You say the plugin does not work with dimensions or weight “yet”? Does that mean this functionality will be added in the future? And if so, about how far in the future? 6 months, 1 year, longer? I do love this plugin, and it will save me days upon days of work. So I could probably find a workaround for the shipping costs until those features are added.
One other question, is there any benefit to use this plugin with a variable product? Or should you just create simple product in woocommerce, and let the plugin do the calculations for pricing variants?

It means we are planning to look at this yes, but we can’t say when this will be included. We have a few other items that are more important first. Of course we hope to have it in less than 1 year. Note that this will likely be a premium feature.
As for a variable product: it depends on your use case. Variable products have the added advantage that you can manage stock & SKU for each individual variation. If this is a must for you, then using variations make sense. If this isn’t a must, you may find our plugin is a better find.
OK, I guess I was confused. The documentation says that the plugin works with both simple AND variable products. So this plugin does not work with variable products at all?
I have purchased the pro version already, and have tried to setup a global field group and have it displayed on a variable product, but it does not show.
It works with variable products in the sense that you can show/hide product options depending on variations as well. If it doesn’t work, please contact us through our website (studiowombat.com) with your license key & a link so we can take a look.
