I have the same exact question as @fimo66. Any answers?
@fimo66 using the plugin Members, you can give a specific rol capabilities to send group emails. That is the workaround I found, but I was already using that plugin for my website, so it was pretty much straightforward. I hope it works for you too.
Email Users defines capabilities which allow users to be assigned the ability to send email when they would not otherwise be allowed to. Email Users does not actually provide an interface to assign the capabilities to a user but will recognize them when assigned using another plugin. The capabilities Email Users defines and supports are listed toward the bottom of the Settings page (Dashboard > Settings > Email Users).

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the answer, i what i could see in the admin, dashboard ws this:
…”Email Users uses capabilities to define what users are allowed to do. Below is a list of the capabilities used by the plugin and the default user role allowed to make these actions. If you want to change the roles having those capabilities, you should use the plugin: Role Manager
email_multiple_users Send an email to various users at the same time. Administrators, editors and authors.
i gave my users author roll but still they only have this in the menu;
You can send an email to one or more users by selecting them individually.
so no group email ?
…..If you want to change the roles having those capabilities, you should use the plugin: Role Manager – just for info this link to the plugin is not working anymore and i tried the plugin “User Role Editor” but didnt have any success with the email group,
is there anywhere in your plugin i should change anything ?
thanks for your support…

@marbaque thanks for your idea about the plugin Members,
is it this one ?
Version: 2.1.0
authorr: Justin Tadlock ?
i use this plugin today:
User Role Editor By Vladimir Garagulya but i cant give my users group email rights,
perhaps its me doing something wrong ?
@fimo66 this is the one I used https://es.ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/members/ but I think any plugin to modify role permissions works.
In this case, you have to go User>Roles and edit the one you want to give permissions. Search for the capability called emai_users_groups

@marbaque, thanks again for your tips, but the temp solution for me was to give permission like this:
edit_users
email_multiple_users
email_single_user
email_user_groups
email_users_notify
and the last bit that solve it for me what this one:
deprecated capabilities, i had level 0+1 but i had to add level 2 to be able for my users to send group mails….

@fimo66 that’s weird… it worked for me. What role are you targeting? In my case is the Author role.
